Oklahoma House Bill 1804
Illegal immigration; creating the Oklahoma Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act of 2007 by Randy Terrell, OK. House of Representatives.
The State of Oklahoma finds that illegal immigration is causing economic hardship and lawlessness in this state and that illegal immigration is encouraged by public agencies within this state that provide public benefits without verifying immigration status. The State of Oklahoma further finds that illegal immigrants have been harbored and sheltered in this state and encouraged to reside in this state through the issuance of identification cards that are issued without verifying immigration status, and that these practices impede and obstruct the enforcement of federal immigration law, undermine the security of our borders, and impermissibly restrict the privileges and immunities of the citizens of Oklahoma.
Therefore, the people of the State of Oklahoma declare that it is a compelling public interest of this state to discourage illegal immigration by requiring all agencies within this state to fully cooperate with federal immigration authorities in the enforcement of federal immigration laws. The State of Oklahoma also finds that other measures are necessary to ensure the integrity of various governmental programs and services.

this is not a good idea, this proposal is not only stupid is dumb, most of the people in oklahoma are hispanics, and most of all the hard workers are hispanic and all you are doing is scaring them and if this bill passes not only were gonna suffer you guys are gonna suffer also. all we are doing is working thats it. we are not criminals.!!!
This bill is not aimed at Hispanics. This bill is aimed at ILLEGAL ALIENS. Sorry Mayra---but you are wrong. If you are in this country ILLEGALLY you ARE a criminal. We have Federal laws that say you are not allowed to come to this country without the proper immigration papers.
All you are doing is NOT just working!
You are putting your children in our schools.
You are using our emergency services for medical care.
You are signing up for and receiving benefits from our social service programs.
You are using our parks, public pools, beaches etc..
You drive on our roads and use our public transportation.
Do you understand, Mayra, that these services are paid for by our taxes which a large percentage of you do not pay? You say if this bill passes it is going to scare the ILLEGAL ALIENS! They have a choice---they can go back to their own country.
Sure we ilegal aliens use public trasportation but that is exactly what it is inteded to be used. They are not riding free and yes they use public roads, parks and beaches but they also buy food at the supermaket,tv's homes and they have to pay taxes just like everyone else they are not tax exempt. For you illegal aliens: You may have to pay sales tax when you make a purchase, however, you DO NOT pay income tax on your wages, nor do you pay social security tax and medicare tax. And if you have come here illegally and are employed here, your employer is not paying their portion of your social security, medicare tax and unemployment tax. Making them criminals as well. If you want to come into our country, do it legally like most of our ancestors did and learn our language, like most of our ancestors did. My great grandparents came to America legally, through Ellis Island. They learned the language of this land they chose to live in and worked to support their families. They did not rely on social services.
Congratulations to Oklahoma and House Bill 1804. The United States did very well prior to the influx of illegal aliens; this nonsense about how much we need them for our economy is just plain stupid and promoted by idiots. Legal immigration is fine, but "walk the walk" and "talk the talk" and leave your own culture behind.
Attention Mayra Aguinaga in response to his/her comment that "most of the people in Oklahoma are hispanics". Wrong. Read Oklahoma State History, or any history for that matter. Oklahoma is a Native American state. You are confusing American Inidans with hispanics.
CRIMINALS is a very strong word to use. Yes there are more Hispanics in Oklahoma and yes its a Native American Land. Hispanics are very hard workers and as for the tax money, it goes unclaimed but no one is complaining about that are they? at the end of the year they can't collect due to "legal" standards so in a way Hispanics pay more taxes than Americans.From what I have seen the Americans ARE focusing on the Latin race more than any other race who are also here illegally, there for all of this discrimination going on is only to justify racism. As for REAL crime the "WHITES" in particular are the REAL criminals, you don't see Hispanics, Asian, or any other race eating little children or other sick crimes that would fall under the same category.

I fully understand your concern. I have many hispanic friends and i enjoy being around them. The problem with the illegal immagrants is over 10.5 millions lives have been finacially troubled through illegals getting faulse ssn and doing yet another illegal act. If your financial reputation and or other wise was compromised you would be very upset too.
